My 3rd quarter journey!
This third quarter helped me gain many important learnings across different subjects. In Mathematics, I learned about permutations and probability, which improved my logical thinking and problem-solving skills. In Science, I understood topics such as DNA, RNA, mutations, the reproductive system, andsexual reproduction, which helped me appreciate how life works at a cellular and biological level. I also learned about violence against women and their children and different Republic Acts that protect women, which made me more aware of social issues. In Basic Electronics, I discovered how capacitors work in series and parallel, as well as inductors. In MAPEH, I learned about hip-hop and its cultural significance. In ESP, I gained deeper understanding of nationalism, patriotism, and caring for the environment. Research lessons taught me about sampling techniques and hypothesis testing, while English helped me understand literary criticism. In ICT, I learned basic coding, which enhanced my technical and digital skills.
Despite these learnings, I encountered several challenges during the quarter. Some topics, especially in Math and Science, were difficult to understand at first because they involved complex concepts and calculations. Coding in ICT was also challenging since it required logical thinking and attention to detail. Time management became a problem as multiple subjects required projects, research tasks, and performance activities. There were moments when I felt overwhelmed, especially when deadlines from different subjects were close to each other.
I addressed these challenges by managing my time better and prioritizing my tasks. I reviewed my lessons, asked questions during discussions, and searched for additional explanations through books and reliable online sources. I practiced solving problems in Math and reviewed Science topics repeatedly to better understand them. In ICT, I learned from trial and error while coding and asked help from classmates and my teacher when needed. Staying focused, being patient, and maintaining a positive mindset helped me overcome these difficulties.
Moving on, I will continue to improve my study habits and be more disciplined with my time. I will try to participate more actively in class discussions and practice lessons regularly to strengthen my understanding. I also plan to further develop my skills in research, coding, and critical thinking, as these will be helpful in future academic work. Most importantly, I will apply the values I learned in ESP and other subjects by being responsible, aware, and respectful as a student and as a member of society.
