Viva Vigan, longganisa festival!

  The Philippines is well known for its colorful festivals that reflect the culture, faith, and unity of its people. One of the most meaningful celebrations can be experienced in the Heritage City of Vigan, Ilocos Sur. In line with the tourism campaign “It’s More Fun sa Pamayanan,” the Fiesta of the Conversion of St. Paul showcases not only religious devotion but also the rich traditions and vibrant spirit of the Ilocanos. The Fiesta of the Conversion of St. Paul or longganisa festival is celebrated in honor of St. Paul the Apostle, the patron saint of Vigan City. During thiscelebration, the city becomes more alive as different religious and cultural activities are held. My 3rd quarter journey!

  This third quarter helped me gain many important learnings across different subjects. In Mathematics, I learned about permutations and probability, which improved my logical thinking and problem-solving skills. In Science, I understood topics such as DNA, RNA, mutations, the reproductive system, andsexual reproduction, which helped me appreciate how life works at a cellular and biological level. I also learned about violence against women and their children and different Republic Acts that protect women, which made me more aware of social issues. In Basic Electronics, I discovered how capacitors work in series and parallel, as well as inductors. In MAPEH, I learned about hip-hop and its cultural significance. In ESP, I gained deeper understanding of nationalism, patriotism, and caring for the environment. Research lessons taught me about sampling techniques and hypothesis testing, while English helped me understand literary criticism. In ICT, I learned basic coding, which enhance...

Kabataan Ang pag-Asa ng bayan

Jose Rizal is known as the face of the Philippines because he helped Filipinos realize who they were as a people. During the Spanish colonial period, many Filipinos were afraid to speak up, but Rizal used his intelligence and love for his country to expose the truth. Instead of fighting with weapons, he fought with ideas, believing that real freedom begins when people understand their situation and value their identity. Rizal’s greatest contribution to Philippine society was awakening Filipino nationalism through his novels  Noli Me Tangere  and  El Filibusterismo . These books revealed the abuse, corruption, and unfair treatment of Filipinos under Spanish rule. By reading his works, Filipinos became more aware of the injustices happening around them and were encouraged to demand change. His writings inspired courage, unity, and hope among the people.
